The MikroTik GB60A-S12 is the internal replacement power supply for four specific MikroTik platforms: the CCR1016 series (r2 revision with dual PSU slots only), the CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS, the CRS312-4C+8XG-RM, and the CRS354-48G-4S+2Q+RM. If your deployment runs any of these devices and the internal PSU fails or degrades, the GB60A-S12 is the correct replacement. There is no reason to run a compatible device without a spare on the shelf.
The CCR1016 r2 dual PSU architecture is why this product exists. MikroTik introduced dual power supply support in the "r2" revision of the CCR1016 series — meaning the second PSU slot, which was unpopulated at the factory, accepts a GB60A-S12 as a live redundancy upgrade. If you are running a CCR1016 r2 with only one PSU installed, adding a GB60A-S12 in the second slot delivers hot-swap redundancy: if the primary PSU fails, the secondary takes over immediately with no router reboot, no service interruption, and no traffic drop. This is the single highest-value reliability upgrade available for a CCR1016 r2 deployment.
The CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS and the CRS series devices (CRS312-4C+8XG-RM, CRS354-48G-4S+2Q+RM) use the GB60A-S12 as a direct replacement unit. If the factory-fitted PSU in any of these chassis fails, the GB60A-S12 slides in as the replacement — same form factor, same connector, same output spec.
The 12V, 5A output is matched to the power architecture of the compatible chassis. Do not substitute a higher-wattage or incompatible PSU — the GB60A-S12 is matched to the specific power delivery design of these platforms.
**Compatibility is strict.** The GB60A-S12 is compatible with:
- **CCR1016 series — r2 revisions with dual power supplies only.** Check the device label for the "r2" revision suffix AND confirm the chassis has a second PSU slot. Pre-r2 CCR1016 units and CCR1016 r2 units without dual PSU capability are NOT compatible.

General information
All students who attend the Training can receive a free L4 license from MikroTik. Training should be at least three days long.
Students are allowed to take the certification test ONLY upon the attendance of individual training course, in the class, under the supervision of a MikroTik Certified Training Partner.
Each certification test consists of a pre-defined % of random questions (multiple choice and true/false) from specific question categories. Items also have a difficulty parameter. MTCNA test is generated from more straightforward questions, Advanced tests – from more difficult questions.
Only one attempt is allowed. The test must be finished within one hour. The passing grade is set to 60%. There are 25 questions in the exam.
Certificate numbers and RouterOS L4 licenses are assigned automatically by MikroTik. Students can see their certificates and generate license keys once logged into the account server. Printed documents from MikroTik cost USD 30 per piece. Shipping is not included.
Remote training sessions and certification exams are not allowed.
MikroTik Certification Test without prior attendance of particular MikroTik Training Session is not allowed.
