MikroTik 868 Omni Antenna 6.5 dBi LoRa® 868MHz IP66
The MikroTik 868 Omni Antenna is a 6.5 dBi, IP66-rated omni antenna for LoRa® deployments in the 862–876 MHz band — redesigned from community feedback with higher durability, improved cable durability, and full IP66 water resistance in a smaller package. Includes a 1m SMA male-to-male cable, fastening set, and mechanical holder for 25–50 mm mast or wall mounting. Rated for marine and coastal environments. USD 49.00. **Canadian buyers: the 862–876 MHz frequency range does not cover the Canadian 915 MHz LoRa® band — confirm frequency compatibility before ordering.**

The MikroTik 868 Omni Antenna is the official external antenna upgrade for MikroTik's LoRa® gateway platforms operating in the 868 MHz band — covering the 862–876 MHz frequency range used for LoRa® deployments across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and select Asia-Pacific markets. It is a community-driven redesign: MikroTik reviewed installer feedback on the previous antenna kit and rebuilt it from the ground up, delivering significantly higher durability in a smaller package, improved cable durability, and IP66 water resistance — without sacrificing the 6.5 dBi omni gain or 360° horizontal coverage of the original.
The 6.5 dBi omni gain provides meaningful range extension over a standard 2–3 dBi dipole in the 868 MHz band. The 360° horizontal beamwidth with a 30° vertical beamwidth is the correct radiation pattern for a LoRa® gateway covering distributed ground-level IoT sensors across a wide area — maximum horizontal reach, controlled vertical spread. For flat terrain deployments — coastal infrastructure, port facilities, industrial sites, agricultural land, and open-field IoT networks — this pattern delivers the coverage footprint the deployment requires.
The IP66 rating is the standout specification for field deployments. IP66 means complete dust ingress protection and protection against powerful water jets from any direction — this antenna can be mounted on a marine vessel, a coastal tower, a rooftop in a high-rainfall environment, or any exposed outdoor structure without housing or weatherproofing enclosure. MikroTik explicitly calls out marine and coastal projects as the target environment for this antenna. For Canadian coastal deployments — Pacific coast, Atlantic coast, Great Lakes, and northern waterway infrastructure — IP66 is the minimum acceptable rating for any permanently mounted outdoor antenna.
The included hardware eliminates additional accessory purchases. The 1m SMA male-to-SMA male cable provides the remote positioning flexibility needed for clean installations — the antenna mounts on the mast or wall while the LoRa® gateway device stays in a protected or powered location. The fastening set and mechanical holder support mast diameters of 25–50 mm and wall surfaces — two mounting options covered with zero additional hardware.
**⚠️ Canadian frequency compatibility advisory:** LoRa® in Canada operates in the **915 MHz band (902–928 MHz)**, governed by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED). The MikroTik 868 Omni Antenna covers **862–876 MHz only** — this frequency range does **not** cover the Canadian 915 MHz LoRa® band. This antenna is **not the correct choice for Canadian LoRa® IoT deployments** unless the gateway device is specifically configured for 868 MHz operation in a non-Canadian regulatory context (e.g. a Canadian-located gateway connecting to a European LoRa® network or test environment). For Canadian 915 MHz LoRa® deployments, confirm antenna frequency compatibility with your MikroTik distributor before purchasing.

General information
All students who attend the Training can receive a free L4 license from MikroTik. Training should be at least three days long.
Students are allowed to take the certification test ONLY upon the attendance of individual training course, in the class, under the supervision of a MikroTik Certified Training Partner.
Each certification test consists of a pre-defined % of random questions (multiple choice and true/false) from specific question categories. Items also have a difficulty parameter. MTCNA test is generated from more straightforward questions, Advanced tests – from more difficult questions.
Only one attempt is allowed. The test must be finished within one hour. The passing grade is set to 60%. There are 25 questions in the exam.
Certificate numbers and RouterOS L4 licenses are assigned automatically by MikroTik. Students can see their certificates and generate license keys once logged into the account server. Printed documents from MikroTik cost USD 30 per piece. Shipping is not included.
Remote training sessions and certification exams are not allowed.
MikroTik Certification Test without prior attendance of particular MikroTik Training Session is not allowed.
Wireless Netware offers every participant a free RouterBOARD hAP-ac-lite.
The price includes class attendance, course materials, coffee breaks and lunch, "Only for local Training." The amount does not cover travel and accommodation expenses.
Please bring (very important): Laptop, power extension strip (10ft./3m) with five sockets, one long Ethernet cable (16ft./5m+) and several short Ethernet cables.
Cost: Early bird price for the course is $850. It is valid 15 days before the scheduled session, referring to the MikroTik Training website. The price will be $1050 after the early bird date. The price includes class attendance, course materials, coffee breaks and lunch," Only for local Training." The amount does not cover travel and accommodation expenses.
