MikroTik ATL LTE18 Kit Cat18 4×4 MIMO IP54 Outdoor Router

The MikroTik ATL LTE18 kit is a high-performance outdoor LTE Category 18 router designed for demanding mobile broadband deployments where signal strength, stability, and throughput are critical. Built around a 64-bit ARM processor and powered by a Cat18 modem capable of up to 1.2 Gbps downlink and 150 Mbps uplink, it features 4×4 MIMO on the downlink with a suite of six integrated high-gain antennas — four covering the middle band (1.7–2.7 GHz) and two covering the low band (700 MHz–1 GHz, including LTE Band 28). Its distinctive aerodynamic enclosure is IP54-rated for outdoor use and engineered to shed snow and water in harsh weather. The unit is powered via a single 802.3af/at PoE input, ships with RouterOS v7.

The ATL LTE18 kit (product code: ATLGM&EG18-EA) represents MikroTik's advanced-technology-level approach to outdoor LTE connectivity. At its core is an EG18-EA Cat18 modem paired with an ARM 64-bit 88F3720 CPU running at 800 MHz, backed by 256 MB of RAM and 16 MB of FLASH storage running RouterOS v7. The Cat18 modem supports LTE downlink speeds of up to 1.2 Gbps and uplink speeds of up to 150 Mbps, achieved through carrier aggregation and 4×4 downlink MIMO — making it one of the most capable LTE modems available in an outdoor CPE form factor.

The antenna array is a defining element of the ATL LTE18 kit. Six integrated directional antennas are built into the enclosure: four high-gain antennas cover the middle band (1.7–2.7 GHz), and two high-gain antennas cover the low band, including the widely deployed LTE Band 28 at 700 MHz. This configuration provides strong coverage across a broad range of frequencies and ensures the unit can extract maximum signal from a variety of LTE networks and tower configurations without requiring external antenna accessories.

LTE FDD band support spans Bands 1 (2100 MHz), 3 (1800 MHz), 5 (850 MHz), 7 (2600 MHz), 8 (900 MHz), 20 (800 MHz), and 28 (700 MHz), with LTE TDD support on Bands 38 (2600 MHz), 40 (2300 MHz), and 41 (2500 MHz). 3G UMTS fallback is supported on Bands 1, 3, 5, and 8 as a Category R8 modem (42.2 Mbps downlink / 11.2 Mbps uplink). A single Micro SIM slot and one M.2 expansion slot are provided. The unit also carries a TAC of 86981604 for network operator identification.

The wired side features a single 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet port with 802.3af/at PoE-in (12–57 V), which serves as both the data uplink to LAN equipment and the sole power input. Maximum power consumption is 8 W. There is no DC jack or terminal — all power is delivered via the included Gigabit PoE injector and 24 V adapter. A mode button is present for configuration resets or switching.

The enclosure's striking form — described by MikroTik as resembling a spaceship — is purpose-engineered for outdoor installation. Its sloped and vented surfaces are designed to prevent snow accumulation and direct water away from the unit, while the IP54 rating confirms dust and splash resistance in all directions. The passive cooling design eliminates moving parts for long-term reliability. Tested operating temperature is -40 °C to 70 °C, making the unit suitable for installations from equatorial to arctic climates. Certifications include CE, EAC, and RoHS.

General information

All students who attend the Training can receive a free L4 license from MikroTik. Training should be at least three days long.

Students are allowed to take the certification test ONLY upon the attendance of individual training course, in the class, under the supervision of a MikroTik Certified Training Partner.

Each certification test consists of a pre-defined % of random questions (multiple choice and true/false) from specific question categories. Items also have a difficulty parameter. MTCNA test is generated from more straightforward questions, Advanced tests – from more difficult questions.

Only one attempt is allowed. The test must be finished within one hour. The passing grade is set to 60%. There are 25 questions in the exam.

Certificate numbers and RouterOS L4 licenses are assigned automatically by MikroTik. Students can see their certificates and generate license keys once logged into the account server. Printed documents from MikroTik cost USD 30 per piece. Shipping is not included.

Remote training sessions and certification exams are not allowed.

MikroTik Certification Test without prior attendance of particular MikroTik Training Session is not allowed.
