The MikroTik LtAP LTE7 kit is a fully upgraded, next-generation mobile LTE access point designed for demanding real-world deployments in vehicles, outdoor enclosures, and industrial environments. Building on the well-proven LtAP platform, this model adds LTE Category 7 support and improved performance while retaining the rugged form factor and versatile connectivity options that have made the LtAP series a favourite for mobile networking.
LTE Cat7 Mobile Connectivity
At the core of the kit is a built-in R11e-LTE7 modem card delivering LTE Category 7 performance — up to 300 Mbps downlink and 100 Mbps uplink — with 2×2 MIMO on the downlink. It supports a broad range of LTE FDD bands (1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40, and 41) as well as LTE TDD bands, along with 3G (UMTS/HSPA+) fallback at up to 42.2 Mbps downlink, making it compatible with a wide range of carrier networks worldwide. Three Mini SIM slots allow automatic roaming between operators as the vehicle moves through different coverage zones — ideal for cross-border logistics and large geographic deployments.
Built-in GPS
The LtAP LTE7 kit includes an integrated GPS (GNSS) receiver, enabling real-time location tracking directly from the device. Combined with RouterOS v7's GPS package and scripting capabilities, users can build custom tracking, geofencing, reporting, and fleet management solutions without any additional hardware.
Rugged Weatherproof Design
The device is housed in a compact, IP54-rated weatherproof enclosure rated for operation in tested ambient temperatures from -40°C to 70°C, making it suitable for use in harsh outdoor and vehicular environments year-round. Passive cooling ensures silent, maintenance-free operation. An MTBF of approximately 200,000 hours at 25°C reflects its suitability for always-on fleet and infrastructure deployments.
Flexible Power Options
The LtAP LTE7 kit offers three independent power inputs: a DC jack (12–30V), Passive PoE-in (12–30V), and a dedicated Automotive power input (12–27V) with built-in voltage monitoring and PCB temperature monitoring for safe operation in vehicles. An automotive adapter cable is included in the box. Maximum power consumption is 24W under full load (12W without attachments), and the device has even been used successfully with power banks in field deployments.
Wi-Fi 4 Access Point
The device features a built-in 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4 (802.11b/g/n) radio with 2×2 MIMO and 2.5 dBi antenna gain, delivering up to 300 Mbit/s — providing onboard Wi-Fi connectivity for passengers, crew, or connected devices within the vehicle or nearby area.
Expandability via miniPCIe
Two miniPCIe slots provide additional hardware expandability, allowing users to install additional modems, wireless cards, or other compatible modules to suit specific deployment requirements.
Connectivity & Peripherals
The LtAP LTE7 kit includes one Gigabit Ethernet port, a USB Type-A port with USB power reset capability, and an RS232 serial console port for local management and scripting. A Gigabit Ethernet port enables fast wired connections to onboard equipment or secondary routers.
Powered by RouterOS v7
The device runs RouterOS v7, pre-installed and fully licensed with no additional purchase required. This opens up the full suite of MikroTik networking tools — firewalling, VPNs, VLANs, DHCP, routing policies, GPS data processing, automated notifications, and custom scripting — making the LtAP LTE7 kit a highly adaptable platform for virtually any mobile networking scenario. Certifications include CE, E-MARK (automotive), EAC, and RoHS.
