The MikroTik RB450Gx4 is a bare RouterBOARD — a quad-core ARM router board with 5× GbE, 1 GB RAM, hardware IPsec acceleration, and passive PoE-out on Ether5, supplied without an enclosure for custom deployments, embedded installs, or existing RB450/RB850 chassis upgrades.
**Quad-core IPQ-4019 ARM — hardware IPsec acceleration**
IPQ-4019 quad-core ARM 32-bit at 448–896 MHz auto-scales under load — 4 threads available to RouterOS for firewall, NAT, routing, VPN, and bandwidth management workloads. Hardware IPsec offload accelerates site-to-site VPN throughput beyond what a comparable software-only CPU delivers. 1 GB RAM handles large connection tracking tables and complex firewall rule sets for SMB and small ISP edge deployments.
**512 MB NAND + microSD — expanded storage for logging and backup**
512 MB NAND provides ample space for RouterOS v7 and configuration. MicroSD slot accepts standard cards for extended data logging, configuration backups, and Dude network monitoring server storage without USB adapters.
**3 power inputs — 2× DC jack + PoE-in 802.3af/at**
Two DC jacks accept 10–57V — dual feed redundancy without external failover hardware. PoE-in accepts 802.3af/at or passive 12–57V as a third input option. Passive PoE-out on Ether5 (500 mA low and high voltage) powers a downstream MikroTik wAP, mAP, or SXT without a separate injector.
**No enclosure — compatible with RB450 and RB850 series enclosures**
Supplied as a bare board — identical form factor (90 × 116 mm) to the RB850 and RB450 series. Fits existing enclosures from those product lines. Use the RB450Gx4 as a drop-in board upgrade or build into a custom chassis.
**Canadian market note:** CE, EAC, RoHS only — no FCC, no IC. Wired router board, no wireless transmitter — no ISED wireless type approval required.

General information
All students who attend the Training can receive a free L4 license from MikroTik. Training should be at least three days long.
Students are allowed to take the certification test ONLY upon the attendance of individual training course, in the class, under the supervision of a MikroTik Certified Training Partner.
Each certification test consists of a pre-defined % of random questions (multiple choice and true/false) from specific question categories. Items also have a difficulty parameter. MTCNA test is generated from more straightforward questions, Advanced tests – from more difficult questions.
Only one attempt is allowed. The test must be finished within one hour. The passing grade is set to 60%. There are 25 questions in the exam.
Certificate numbers and RouterOS L4 licenses are assigned automatically by MikroTik. Students can see their certificates and generate license keys once logged into the account server. Printed documents from MikroTik cost USD 30 per piece. Shipping is not included.
Remote training sessions and certification exams are not allowed.
MikroTik Certification Test without prior attendance of particular MikroTik Training Session is not allowed.
