MikroTik GPERx6 Outdoor Hybrid Fiber Switch with PoE & DC Output
The MikroTik GPERx6 (CSS606-1G-2Gi-3S+OUT) is a rugged, IP66-rated outdoor switch designed to simplify long-distance deployments by combining high-speed fibre, PoE, and DC power output in a single compact unit. Featuring three 10G SFP+ ports, three Gigabit Ethernet ports (with PoE-in and PoE-out), three DC outputs, and a dedicated 10G switch chip, it is purpose-built for use with hybrid fibre and copper cables — enabling power and data to be delivered over distances of 1–2 km to remote cameras, access points, and IoT devices. Passively cooled and rated for -40°C to 70°C operation, the GPERx6 runs SwOS and is ideal for perimeter surveillance, CCTV towers, industrial IoT, and solar-powered edge deployments.

The MikroTik GPERx6 is an outdoor-grade hybrid switch engineered to eliminate cable complexity in remote and extended-reach network deployments. By combining fibre uplinks, PoE output, and DC power output in a single heavy-duty enclosure, it allows a single hybrid cable to carry both data and power over long distances — making it an ideal solution for large campuses, industrial sites, perimeter surveillance networks, and off-grid edge installations.
Hybrid Fiber + Copper Architecture
The key advantage of the GPERx6 lies in its ability to work with hybrid fibre and copper cables, where fibre strands carry high-speed uplink data while copper conductors simultaneously deliver DC power to the remote unit. At the far end, the GPERx6 splits everything out: SFP+ ports handle the data uplinks, PoE-out ports power standard network devices like cameras and access points, and dedicated DC outputs supply equipment that doesn't support PoE — such as IoT controllers and specialised hardware. This approach dramatically reduces cable runs and installation complexity in large or remote deployments, enabling coverage of areas up to 1–2 km from the power source.
Three 10G SFP+ Ports
Three 10G SFP+ cages provide high-speed fibre uplinks capable of long-distance, high-bandwidth connectivity. The GPERx6 uses the proven 88E6193X dedicated 10G switch chip — the same chip used in MikroTik's popular ISP-grade netPower Lite 7R — delivering reliable non-blocking Layer 2 switching with throughput exceeding 32 Gbps at 1518-byte frames.
Gigabit Ethernet with PoE-in and PoE-out
Three Gigabit Ethernet ports round out the wired connectivity: Ether1 supports 802.3bt PoE-in (42–57V) for powering the unit itself via a PoE injector or switch, while Ether2 and Ether3 offer Passive PoE-out (up to 57V) with a total output power of up to 150W and a combined maximum output of 2.4A. A DC jack input (12–57V) provides an alternative or supplementary power source, giving maximum flexibility in how and where the GPERx6 is deployed.
Three DC Outputs
In addition to PoE-out, the GPERx6 includes three dedicated DC output ports — a feature that sets it apart from standard PoE switches. These outputs are designed for devices that do not support PoE, such as IoT sensors, environmental monitors, or custom hardware, making the GPERx6 a versatile power distribution hub for mixed-device deployments.
Built for the Outdoors
The GPERx6 is housed in a heavy-duty IP66-rated weatherproof enclosure that can withstand dust ingress, water jets, and extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C. Fully passive cooling ensures silent, maintenance-free operation with no moving parts to fail in the field. Mounting hardware (K-93 bracket and hose clamps) is included, making pole or wall mounting straightforward. An MTBF of approximately 200,000 hours at 25°C reflects the reliability expected of infrastructure deployed in demanding outdoor environments.
SwOS — Simple & Reliable
The GPERx6 runs SwOS, MikroTik's lightweight switch operating system that provides intuitive web-based management with no complex configuration required — pre-installed and licensed out of the box.
Ideal Use Cases
The GPERx6 is particularly well-suited for perimeter surveillance covering large campuses, estates, industrial parks, or ports; remote CCTV tower deployments where a single hybrid cable must power and connect everything; IoT deployments where DC output is required; and solar-powered edge setups where minimising both cable runs and power consumption is critical.

General information
All students who attend the Training can receive a free L4 license from MikroTik. Training should be at least three days long.
Students are allowed to take the certification test ONLY upon the attendance of individual training course, in the class, under the supervision of a MikroTik Certified Training Partner.
Each certification test consists of a pre-defined % of random questions (multiple choice and true/false) from specific question categories. Items also have a difficulty parameter. MTCNA test is generated from more straightforward questions, Advanced tests – from more difficult questions.
Only one attempt is allowed. The test must be finished within one hour. The passing grade is set to 60%. There are 25 questions in the exam.
Certificate numbers and RouterOS L4 licenses are assigned automatically by MikroTik. Students can see their certificates and generate license keys once logged into the account server. Printed documents from MikroTik cost USD 30 per piece. Shipping is not included.
Remote training sessions and certification exams are not allowed.
