MikroTik RB4011iGS+RM 10-Port GbE Quad-Core Router SFP+ PoE Out with Rack Ears
The MikroTik RB4011iGS+RM is a high-performance wired router designed for demanding network environments where raw processing power and port density are essential. Powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex A15 AL21400 CPU running at up to 1.4GHz, paired with 1GB of RAM and 512MB of NAND storage, it delivers serious routing, bridging, and VPN throughput at a professional level. The unit features ten Gigabit Ethernet ports, one SFP+ 10Gbps cage for high-speed fibre or direct-attach uplinks, and PoE output on port 10 for powering a connected device. Housed in a solid matte black metal enclosure with included rack ears, the RB4011iGS+RM fits neatly into a standard 1U rack space, making it a natural choice for server rooms, ISP edge deployments, and enterprise network cores.

At the core of the RB4011iGS+RM is the AL21400 quad-core ARM 32-bit processor — the same Cortex A15 CPU found in MikroTik's carrier-grade RB1100AHx4. With four cores and four threads scaling automatically between 533MHz and 1900MHz, the router has the headroom to handle heavy routing workloads, complex firewall rule sets, and multiple simultaneous VPN tunnels without breaking a sweat. It is equipped with 1GB of RAM and 512MB of NAND flash storage, providing ample resources for RouterOS v7, scripts, and configuration data. The RTL8367SB switch chip handles Ethernet switching duties, enabling efficient hardware-level forwarding across the port groups.
Ethernet Connectivity
The RB4011iGS+RM provides ten 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports, offering ample wired connectivity for servers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Whether used as a core router, an inter-VLAN routing appliance, or a high-throughput firewall gateway, the ten-port layout gives network engineers the flexibility to segment and manage traffic across multiple zones without requiring additional switching hardware.
SFP+ 10Gbps Uplink
A single SFP+ 10Gbps port provides a high-speed fibre or direct-attach copper uplink, allowing the RB4011iGS+RM to connect directly into a 10GbE switch fabric or fibre backbone. This makes it highly capable in environments where the router serves as the aggregation point between a 10GbE core network and multiple downstream Gigabit segments.
PoE Output
Port 10 (Ether10) supports passive PoE output at up to 57V, allowing the router to power a connected device such as a wireless access point or a small CPE directly from the router's power supply. The low-voltage current limit is 600mA and the high-voltage limit is 420mA, with a maximum total output of 600mA.
Powering Options
The router accepts power through two inputs: a DC jack (12–57V) and a passive PoE input on Ether1 (18–57V), providing flexibility for standard power adapter use or passive PoE-in from an upstream switch or injector. Maximum power consumption is 33W under full load (18W without attachments). A 24V 1.5A power adapter is included in the box. Cooling is entirely passive — no fans — keeping the unit silent in noise-sensitive environments.
IPsec Hardware Acceleration
The RB4011iGS+RM includes hardware-accelerated IPsec, enabling it to sustain over 1Gbps of encrypted throughput in AES-128-CBC tunnel configurations. This makes it well suited to ISP edge routing with encrypted backhaul, enterprise site-to-site VPN, or secure remote access concentrator roles where software-only IPsec would be a bottleneck.
Rackmount Form Factor
The unit ships in a solid matte black metal enclosure measuring 228 × 120 × 30mm, with two included rack ears (4011 ears) for secure 1U rackmount installation. A K-60 kit is also included. The professional enclosure, passive cooling, and rackmount design make it equally at home in a server room rack or a compact equipment cabinet.
Monitoring and Diagnostics
The RB4011iGS+RM includes a PCB temperature monitor and a voltage monitor, giving administrators real-time visibility into thermal and electrical conditions via RouterOS. An RJ45 serial console port is provided for out-of-band management and recovery scenarios.
Software
The router runs RouterOS v7 with a Level 5 licence, unlocking the full RouterOS feature set including advanced routing protocols, firewall, traffic shaping, MPLS, VPN, and bandwidth management tools. The operating system is pre-installed and licenced — no separate purchase is required.
Use Cases
The RB4011iGS+RM is built for network professionals who need genuine routing performance in a rackmountable form factor. It suits ISP edge and CPE aggregation, enterprise WAN gateway and firewall deployments, multi-site VPN concentrators, high-throughput inter-VLAN routing, and data centre top-of-rack routing where a compact, fanless unit is preferred.

All students who attend the Training can receive a free L4 license from MikroTik. Training should be at least three days long.
Students are allowed to take the certification test ONLY upon the attendance of individual training course, in the class, under the supervision of a MikroTik Certified Training Partner.
Each certification test consists of a pre-defined % of random questions (multiple choice and true/false) from specific question categories. Items also have a difficulty parameter. MTCNA test is generated from more straightforward questions, Advanced tests – from more difficult questions.
Only one attempt is allowed. The test must be finished within one hour. The passing grade is set to 60%. There are 25 questions in the exam.
Certificate numbers and RouterOS L4 licenses are assigned automatically by MikroTik. Students can see their certificates and generate license keys once logged into the account server. Printed documents from MikroTik cost USD 30 per piece. Shipping is not included.
