The SYNOXX EQD400-LR4 is a 400G QSFP-DD LR4 hot-pluggable optical transceiver delivering 400Gbps over single-mode fiber (SMF) to 10km using PAM4 modulation across 4×100G WDM optical lanes at 1310nm. LR4 architecture multiplexes four separate 1310nm wavelengths onto a single SMF strand via an integrated WDM multiplexer, each lane carrying 100Gbps PAM4 — enabling full 400G throughput over a standard Duplex LC SMF connection without the 8-fibre MPO infrastructure required by SR8 transceivers. This makes the EQD400-LR4 the correct 400G QSFP-DD choice for long-reach data center interconnect (DCI) links, campus backbone connections between buildings, ISP aggregation layers, and any 400G deployment where single-mode fiber is the installed medium and reach exceeds the 100m OM4 ceiling of the EQD400-SR8.
Compliant with QSFP-DD MSA, IEEE 802.3bs, and 400GAUI-8, the EQD400-LR4 includes DDM/DOM monitoring for real-time visibility of temperature, voltage, bias current, and transmit/receive optical power — enabling continuous link health monitoring without external test equipment. Power consumption is below 10W in a hot-pluggable QSFP-DD form factor, operating from 0°C to 70°C across all standard data center and enterprise switching environments. Note: Verify CMIS version support with your switch firmware before deployment — confirm QSFP-DD MSA and CMIS compliance with your specific switch vendor for full DDM functionality.

General information
All students who attend the Training can receive a free L4 license from MikroTik. Training should be at least three days long.
Students are allowed to take the certification test ONLY upon the attendance of individual training course, in the class, under the supervision of a MikroTik Certified Training Partner.
Each certification test consists of a pre-defined % of random questions (multiple choice and true/false) from specific question categories. Items also have a difficulty parameter. MTCNA test is generated from more straightforward questions, Advanced tests – from more difficult questions.
Only one attempt is allowed. The test must be finished within one hour. The passing grade is set to 60%. There are 25 questions in the exam.
Certificate numbers and RouterOS L4 licenses are assigned automatically by MikroTik. Students can see their certificates and generate license keys once logged into the account server. Printed documents from MikroTik cost USD 30 per piece. Shipping is not included.
Remote training sessions and certification exams are not allowed.
MikroTik Certification Test without prior attendance of particular MikroTik Training Session is not allowed.
