MikroTik RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN 10-Port Gigabit Dual-Band 2.4/5GHz 802.11ac Router with SFP+

The MikroTik RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN is a powerful indoor router combining ten Gigabit Ethernet ports, a 10Gbps SFP+ cage, and integrated dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi in a single desktop unit. At its core is a quad-core Cortex A15 AL21400 processor — the same architecture used in MikroTik's carrier-grade hardware — paired with 1 GB of RAM and hardware-accelerated IPsec, delivering serious routing performance for demanding environments. The 5GHz four-chain radio delivers up to 1733 Mbit/s (Wi-Fi 5), while the 2.4GHz two-chain radio adds 300 Mbit/s 802.11n coverage. Running RouterOS v7 with a MiniPCI-e expansion slot, passive PoE output on port 10, and dual power input options.

The MikroTik RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN is part of MikroTik's RB4011 series — a family of routers built around carrier-grade processing power in a compact desktop form factor. The Wi-Fi model adds integrated dual-band 802.11ac wireless, making it a comprehensive all-in-one networking platform for high-demand environments.

Processing Power & IPsec Hardware Acceleration

The unit is powered by the AL21400 quad-core Cortex A15 CPU, running at auto-scaling frequencies between 533 and 1900 MHz on the ARM 32-bit architecture. This is the same CPU family found in MikroTik's carrier-grade RB1100AHx4. Paired with 1 GB of RAM and 512 MB of NAND storage, the RB4011 delivers exceptional routing throughput — Ethernet test results show fast-path bridging and routing throughput of up to 9,792.9 Mbps at 1518-byte packets. Hardware-accelerated IPsec enables over 1 Gbps of encrypted VPN throughput at 1400-byte packets (AES-128-CBC + SHA1), making it capable of handling demanding VPN deployments without CPU bottlenecks.

Ethernet & SFP+ Connectivity

Ten 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet ports provide ample wired connectivity, managed by the RTL8367SB switch chip. A dedicated SFP+ cage supports 10Gbps fibre or DAC connections, providing a high-speed uplink path to fibre infrastructure, core switches, or data centre equipment. This combination of ten Gigabit ports and a 10G SFP+ cage makes the RB4011 highly versatile for both LAN distribution and high-speed uplink scenarios.

Dual-Band 802.11ac Wireless

The integrated wireless system is rated AC2000, combining a four-chain 5GHz 802.11a/n/ac (Wi-Fi 5) radio using the QCA9984 chip — delivering up to 1733 Mbit/s — with a two-chain 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n (Wi-Fi 4) radio using the R11e-2HnD module, delivering up to 300 Mbit/s. The 5GHz receive sensitivity ranges from -96 dBm at 6 Mbit/s to -72 dBm at MCS9, while 2.4GHz sensitivity spans -100 dBm at 1 Mbit/s to -79 dBm at MCS7. The international version supports 2412–2484 MHz and 5150–5875 MHz; the US version is factory-locked to 2412–2462 MHz, 5170–5250 MHz, and 5725–5835 MHz.

PoE Output & Power Options

Ethernet port 10 provides passive PoE output of up to 57 V, with a low-voltage current limit of 600 mA and a high-voltage limit of 420 mA, allowing a single downstream PoE device to be powered directly from the router. The unit itself can be powered via a DC jack (12–57 V) or passive PoE input (18–57 V), with a maximum power consumption of 44 W (23 W without attachments). Passive cooling keeps the unit silent.

Expansion & Management

A MiniPCI-e slot provides the option to add additional radio or interface cards. An RJ45 serial console port allows out-of-band management access. On-board PCB temperature and voltage monitors aid in health monitoring. The unit ships with RouterOS v7 pre-installed and licensed — no additional software purchase is required.

Build & Form Factor

The RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN is a desktop indoor unit (IP20) measuring 228 × 120 × 30 mm, designed for rack-shelf or desktop placement. MTBF is approximately 200,000 hours at 25°C. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 45°C. The package includes a 24V 2.5A power adapter, an IEC power cord, and a K-59 mounting kit.

Use Cases

The RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN is well suited for enterprise and SMB offices requiring high-throughput routing with integrated Wi-Fi, ISP customer edge routers where VPN performance and a fibre uplink are essential, home lab and power-user environments, and any deployment where carrier-grade CPU performance is needed alongside multi-port Gigabit switching and 10G uplink capability.

General information

All students who attend the Training can receive a free L4 license from MikroTik. Training should be at least three days long.

Students are allowed to take the certification test ONLY upon the attendance of individual training course, in the class, under the supervision of a MikroTik Certified Training Partner.

Each certification test consists of a pre-defined % of random questions (multiple choice and true/false) from specific question categories. Items also have a difficulty parameter. MTCNA test is generated from more straightforward questions, Advanced tests – from more difficult questions.

Only one attempt is allowed. The test must be finished within one hour. The passing grade is set to 60%. There are 25 questions in the exam.

Certificate numbers and RouterOS L4 licenses are assigned automatically by MikroTik. Students can see their certificates and generate license keys once logged into the account server. Printed documents from MikroTik cost USD 30 per piece. Shipping is not included.
