The MikroTik CRS310-1G-5S-4S+IN is the indoor rack-mount variant of the netFiber 9 — a fibre switch used by small and medium ISPs for 10 Gigabit connections exceeding 100 metres, at USD 199.00. MikroTik's explicit upgrade path: direct replacement for CRS212 deployments, with a modern ARM v7 CPU, 256 MB RAM, and hardware-offloaded switching.
**98DX226S — CPU and switch ASIC in one chip**
The Marvell 98DX226S is both the management CPU (dual-core ARM 32bit, 800 MHz) and the switch chip in a single silicon package. Hardware-offloaded VLAN filtering (802.1Q) and partial Layer 3 routing run in the switch chip without ARM CPU involvement — keeping latency low and CPU headroom available for RouterOS control plane tasks.
**5× SFP + 4× SFP+ — fibre beyond 100 metres**
Five 1G SFP ports and four 10G SFP+ ports cover both legacy 1G fibre infrastructure and current 10G uplinks in a single device. The GbE copper port connects directly to the switch chip for full wire-speed throughput. SFP and SFP+ ports accept MikroTik or third-party transceivers — directly compatible with the XQ+85MP01D SR4 for 100m multimode runs.
**RouterOS v7 + SwitchOS — dual boot**
Operate as a full RouterOS v7 router (scripting, BGP, OSPF, firewall, VLAN, WireGuard) or as a lightweight SwitchOS managed switch — switch between modes without hardware changes.

General information
All students who attend the Training can receive a free L4 license from MikroTik. Training should be at least three days long.
Students are allowed to take the certification test ONLY upon the attendance of individual training course, in the class, under the supervision of a MikroTik Certified Training Partner.
Each certification test consists of a pre-defined % of random questions (multiple choice and true/false) from specific question categories. Items also have a difficulty parameter. MTCNA test is generated from more straightforward questions, Advanced tests – from more difficult questions.
Only one attempt is allowed. The test must be finished within one hour. The passing grade is set to 60%. There are 25 questions in the exam.
Certificate numbers and RouterOS L4 licenses are assigned automatically by MikroTik. Students can see their certificates and generate license keys once logged into the account server. Printed documents from MikroTik cost USD 30 per piece. Shipping is not included.
Remote training sessions and certification exams are not allowed.
MikroTik Certification Test without prior attendance of particular MikroTik Training Session is not allowed.

Certificates will only be valid for three years.
