The MikroTik GPEN21 is a smart power injector and software-controlled repeater — 2× GbE plus a 1× SFP fiber port, passive PoE-out on Ether2, dual power input, and SwitchOS Lite software features in a wall or cabinet-mountable IP20 enclosure.
**Software-controlled repeater — beyond a passive PoE injector**
The GPEN21 runs SwitchOS Lite and adds active intelligence to the last-mile link: interface management and monitoring, GPEN link fault detection, VLAN support, SNMP reporting, and basic traffic shaping. This makes it a managed network node, not a dumb pass-through injector — faults and traffic anomalies are visible and reportable without on-site inspection.
**SFP port — fiber or copper SFP uplink to provider**
The SFP port allows the GPEN21 to terminate a fiber uplink directly — power an optical SFP module for fiber-to-the-building connections, or use a copper SFP for flexible uplink topology. MikroTik's own framing: customers can use GPEN21 to power an optical module for uplink to provider, or to provide PoE to power an Ethernet uplink via GPeR and netPower products.
**Passive PoE-out on Ether2 — up to 57V, 850 mA**
Ether2 delivers passive PoE-out at up to 57V — 850 mA at low voltage, 625 mA at high voltage. Powers downstream MikroTik devices including GPeR repeaters, wAP APs, and netPower switches directly over Ethernet.
**Dual power input — DC jack or 802.3af/at PoE-in**
DC jack accepts 12–57V. PoE-in accepts 802.3af/at or passive 12–57V. 30W max total, 3W without attachments.

General information
All students who attend the Training can receive a free L4 license from MikroTik. Training should be at least three days long.
Students are allowed to take the certification test ONLY upon the attendance of individual training course, in the class, under the supervision of a MikroTik Certified Training Partner.
Each certification test consists of a pre-defined % of random questions (multiple choice and true/false) from specific question categories. Items also have a difficulty parameter. MTCNA test is generated from more straightforward questions, Advanced tests – from more difficult questions.
Only one attempt is allowed. The test must be finished within one hour. The passing grade is set to 60%. There are 25 questions in the exam.
Certificate numbers and RouterOS L4 licenses are assigned automatically by MikroTik. Students can see their certificates and generate license keys once logged into the account server. Printed documents from MikroTik cost USD 30 per piece. Shipping is not included.
Remote training sessions and certification exams are not allowed.
MikroTik Certification Test without prior attendance of particular MikroTik Training Session is not allowed.
Wireless Netware offers every participant a free RouterBOARD hAP-ac-lite.
The price includes class attendance, course materials, coffee breaks and lunch, "Only for local Training." The amount does not cover travel and accommodation expenses.
Please bring (very important): Laptop, power extension strip (10ft./3m) with five sockets, one long Ethernet cable (16ft./5m+) and several short Ethernet cables.

Certificates will only be valid for three years.

To stay on the consultant list, you will have to have valid certificates, participate in the MikroTik Forum and attend the ...M.U.M. events in your country conducting RouterOS case studies or workshops for the rest of the attendees.
