MikroTik FiberBox Plus 1×GbE 4×SFP+ 10G IP66 Outdoor Switch
The MikroTik FiberBox Plus is a compact, ruggedised outdoor fibre switch designed for high-mast, pole, and tower deployments where reliable 10-Gigabit connectivity is needed in the field. Built around the Marvell 98DX226S switch chip with a 32-bit ARM CPU running at 800 MHz and 256 MB of RAM, it features one Gigabit Ethernet port and four 10G SFP+ ports, giving it a significant throughput advantage over its predecessor. It runs both RouterOS v7 and SwOS, offering flexibility between full-featured routing and streamlined switch management. Three power input options — 802.3af/at PoE-in, a DC jack, and a 2-pin terminal — make it easy to integrate into existing outdoor deployments. With an IP66 water-resistance rating providing protection against powerful water jets from any direction.

The FiberBox Plus (CRS305-1G-4S+OUT) is a major upgrade over MikroTik's earlier FiberBox line and positions itself as an accessible outdoor alternative to the netFiber 9. The centrepiece of the upgrade is the Marvell 98DX226S switch chip — the same impressive chip found in higher-end MikroTik hardware — which enables four true 10-Gigabit SFP+ ports alongside a single Gigabit Ethernet port. The ARM 32-bit CPU runs at 800 MHz and is backed by 256 MB of RAM and 16 MB of FLASH storage, providing a solid platform for running RouterOS v7 or the simpler SwitchOS interface depending on the operator's preference.
The FiberBox Plus is an ideal aggregation point for mast-top devices such as wireless backhaul radios and sector antennas. It connects directly to whatever is mounted at height, eliminating the need to run individual cables down to a separate indoor switch and reducing both installation complexity and latency in the path. The unit's passive cooling design — with no moving parts — contributes to long-term reliability in unattended outdoor environments.
Power flexibility is a standout feature of this switch. It accepts 802.3af/at PoE-in on its Ethernet port (42–57 V), a standard DC jack (24–57 V), or a 2-pin terminal connector (24–57 V), so it can be powered via a PoE injector, a direct DC supply, or integrated into a panel or custom enclosure. Maximum power consumption is 17 W under load and just 7 W without attached devices. A Gigabit PoE injector is included in the box for convenient out-of-the-box deployment.
The enclosure carries an IP66 rating, meaning it is fully dust-tight and withstands powerful water jets from any direction — no additional weatherproofing box is needed. The unit ships with two fastening sets (K-41 and K-72) and two hose clamps to facilitate mounting on poles or masts of varying diameters, along with a 48 V power adapter and a Gigabit PoE injector.
Switching performance is non-blocking at Layer 2, with full line-rate throughput across all five ports. Certifications include CE, EAC, and RoHS compliance, and the device carries an IP66 environmental rating. Tested ambient operating temperature spans -40 °C to 70 °C, making it suitable for extreme cold and heat environments worldwide.

General information
All students who attend the Training can receive a free L4 license from MikroTik. Training should be at least three days long.
Students are allowed to take the certification test ONLY upon the attendance of individual training course, in the class, under the supervision of a MikroTik Certified Training Partner.
Each certification test consists of a pre-defined % of random questions (multiple choice and true/false) from specific question categories. Items also have a difficulty parameter. MTCNA test is generated from more straightforward questions, Advanced tests – from more difficult questions.
Only one attempt is allowed. The test must be finished within one hour. The passing grade is set to 60%. There are 25 questions in the exam.
Certificate numbers and RouterOS L4 licenses are assigned automatically by MikroTik. Students can see their certificates and generate license keys once logged into the account server. Printed documents from MikroTik cost USD 30 per piece. Shipping is not included.
Remote training sessions and certification exams are not allowed.
MikroTik Certification Test without prior attendance of particular MikroTik Training Session is not allowed.
